Southland Drive Bank Robbery Arrests

Two people have been arrested in connection with the robbery of the Central Bank on Southland Drive. 

On Tuesday, Jan 29, 2025, around 3:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Central Bank in the 200 block of Southland Drive for a robbery. Officers learned that a male suspect entered the bank and demanded money, before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. 

Using investigative techniques and assistance from the department’s Real-Time Intelligence Center, detectives were able to locate two suspects.  

Danzell Cruse, 30, was arrested on Jan 29, 2025, and charged with Robbery 1st Degree, Fleeing or Evading Police 3rd Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Trafficking in Marijuana (Less than 8oz) 1st Offense, Aggravated Trafficking in Controlled Substance (28 gms Fentanyl), and an unrelated warrant. He is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center. 

Corey Burch, 36, was arrested on Jan 31, 2025, in Nicholasville, KY, for Robbery 1st Degree, Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree, Carjacking, and an unrelated warrant. He is currently being held at the Jessamine County Detention Center.
