Ohio Street Homicide Investigation Arrests

UPDATE – March 27, 2025: A second person has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of Tai’ Maricus Warner, 24, that occurred on Ohio Street.
On March 26, 2025, Marquise Clark, 26, was arrested in Detroit, MI by the US Marshal Service. He is currently being held at the Detroit Detention Center on the charge of Murder.
The Lexington Police Department would like to thank the US Marshal Service for their assistance in helping locate and arrest Mr. Clark.

UPDATE – March 14, 2025: One person has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of Tai’ Maricus Warner, 24.
On March 14, 2025, detectives arrested Phillip McElroy, 32, for the homicide that occurred on Ohio Street earlier this week. McElroy is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center on the charge of Murder.

The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred around midnight on Ohio Street.
On March 11, 2025, around 12:02 am, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Ohio Street for shots fired. When officers arrived, they located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was declared deceased at the scene.
At this time, no suspect information is available, and detectives are asking anyone in the area to check their surveillance cameras and contact Lexington Police if they have footage that can help with the investigation.
