Officers quickly arrest bank robbery suspects

Officers quickly identify and arrest two suspects in connection with the robbery of the Central Bank on Richmond Road.
On Wednesday, April 9, 2025, around 3:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Central Bank in the 2200 block of Richmond Road for a robbery. Officers learned that a male suspect entered the bank and demanded money before fleeing in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash.
With help from the department’s Real-Time Intelligence Center, officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle a short time later in the 1000 block of E New Circle Road.
Jamalachi Taylor, 21, was charged with Robbery 1st Degree, Fleeing or Evading 1st Degree, Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon, Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Offense (Fentanyl), Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, Reckless Driving, and Leaving the Scene of Accident-Failure to Render Aid or Assistance.
Jaycorion Dawson, 18, was charged with Robbery 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Fleeing or Evading 3rd Degree.
Both are being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
