Georgetown Road Hit-and-Run Collision Arrest

One person has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run collision that occurred this morning on Georgetown Road near Mercer Road.
On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, around 6:50 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Georgetown Road for a hit-and-run collision involving a pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with reported life-threatening injuries. Utilizing the department’s Real-Time Intelligence Center, officers located the vehicle and driver a short time later.
Jamie Caldwell, 29, was arrested and has been charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol – 1st Offense (Aggravated) and Leaving the Scene of an Accident/Failure to Render Aid/Assist with Death or Serious Physical Injury. She is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing to investigate and additional charges are possible. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Lexington Police at (859) 258-3600.
