Police investigating morning homicide on Newtown Pike

The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred this morning on Newtown Pike.  

On May 2, 2025, around 5:50 am, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of Newtown Pike for a shooting.  When officers arrived, they located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

At this time, all parties have been identified, and Personal Crimes Detectives are continuing to investigate.
