Lexington Police use technology to assist in the arrest of wanted subject

Lexington Police use technology to assist Michigan law enforcement agency locate a wanted subject in Lexington.
On May 21, 2025, the Lexington Police Department was contacted by the Kent County, MI Sheriff’s Office about a wanted subject from Michigan potentially being in Lexington. Utilizing the department’s Real-Time Intelligence Center (RTIC) and Flock license plate reader system, investigators were able to locate the subject’s vehicle in a parking lot on Waller Avenue.
Officers arrested Dequindre Wiggins, 26, on a warrant for Accosting, Enticing or Soliciting a Child for Immoral Purpose and Use of a Computer to Commit a Crime from Kent County, Michigan. Wiggins is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
