Douglas Avenue Homicide Investigation

The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred this evening on Douglas Avenue.
On June 11, 2025, around 8:45 pm, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Douglas Avenue for an individual who had been stabbed. When officers arrived, they located a male victim suffering from a life-threatening stab wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The Fayette County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the decedent.
Two male subjects fled the area around the time of the incident. They are described as being in their late teens to early twenties. One male subject was wearing a white t-shirt and black pants, and the other male subject was wearing all-black clothing and white shoes.
Anyone in the area is asked to check their surveillance cameras and contact Lexington Police if they have footage that can help with the investigation.
