Marcellus Drive Hit-and-Run Collision Arrest

One person has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run collision that occurred this evening on Marcellus Drive. 

On Saturday, June 28, 2025, around 7:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Marcellus Drive for a hit-and-run collision involving a juvenile pedestrian. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital with reported non-life-threatening injuries.  Utilizing the department’s Real-Time Intelligence Center, officers located the hit-and-run vehicle and driver a short time later. 

Sierra Smith, 31, was arrested and has been charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident/Failure to Render Aid/Assist with Death or Serious Physical Injury, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine), and Possession of Marijuana. She is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
