Operations scheduled for Interstate 75 in Madison County

Rolling roadblocks for slope mowing

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 10, 2025)  The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled work for slope mowing. Rolling roadblocks (a mobile operation) will be utilized. Temporary delays for traffic during the operations could be approximately 15-20 minutes. The District 7 Madison County Maintenance Crew will be performing the work. The Kentucky State Police will be assisting with traffic control.

Monday, Sept. 1512 a.m. (midnight) until 6 a.m.

Tuesday, Sept. 16 12 a.m. (midnight) until 6 a.m.

Interstate 75

  • work will begin on the Southside at the Clays Ferry Bridge (milepoint 97.7) and progress to Duncannon Lane/KY 2872 (milepoint 83)

The traveling public should expect delays during the hours of scheduled operations.

All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties
