A 17-year-old juvenile has been charged in connection with a shooting that occurred in October on Ward Drive.
On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, around 5:46 pm, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Ward Drive for a shooting with a victim. When officers arrived, they located a 22-year-old male victim who had been shot. The victim was transported to a local hospital with reported non-life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation, detectives identified the suspect. In conjunction with patrol officers, the juvenile was taken into custody on December 1, 2025. The 17-year-old was charged with Assault 1st Degree and Minor in Possession of a Handgun. They are currently being held at a juvenile detention center.
