Another round of winter weather is coming into Lexington, just in time to ring in the holidays, Mayor Linda Gorton said today.
“I want our residents to know we have salt, our first responders are ready to respond, and our road crews are already hard at work pretreating the roads,” Gorton said.
This round is bringing bitter cold temperatures, increasing concern for people who are unhoused and the elderly.
“As always, we need the assistance of the community,” Gorton said. “Take care of one another, including your neighbors – especially the elderly; protect your pets from the cold temperatures; and limit your time outdoors. If you have to get out on the roads, drive slowly and use extra caution.”
