Free, online event: “Real Talk with Doctors and Nurses About Vaccines” on Thursday, Oct. 16

The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky is co-hosting an online event with medical experts to help Kentuckians get the facts about vaccines.

As part of the event, titled “Real Talk with Doctors & Nurses About Vaccines,” attendees can submit their questions live or prior to the event and get answers directly from trusted professionals, according to a press release.

The event will be held Thursday, Oct. 16, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. EST on the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky Facebook page (www.facebook.com/FoundationForAHealthyKentucky), or you can click here to register and submit your questions early.

The panel of medical experts includes:

  • Dr. Wayne B. Tuckson, Greater Louisville Medical Society, host and moderator of Kentucky Health
  • Dr. Gary Marshall, professor of pediatrics and chief of the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Louisville
  • Dr. Mark Burns, associate professor, Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Disease at the UofL School of Medicine
  • Tom Walton, Master of Divinity, Master of Science, executive in residence in the Department of Health Management and Systems Sciences in the UofL School of Public Health & Information Sciences
  • Dr. Michael Kuduk, assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Kentucky College of Medicin and pediatric hospitalist at the Kentucky Children’s Hospital
  • Allison Adams, MPH, BS, RN, president and CEO of the  Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky
  • Denise Beach, MS, BSN, RN, director of public health, Hopkins County, Kentucky

In addition to the foundation, the event is also hosted by the Greater Louisville Medical Society, the Greater Louisville Medical Society Foundation, the Kentucky Nurses Association, the Lexington Medical Society and the Northern Kentucky Medical Society.
