We sat down with Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton to chat. Topics included gun violence, mental health, city services to the homeless, ARPA money, mediocre gun owners, the Coach Cal/Mark Stoops beef, and more.
Correction: when I referenced the homicide rate being higher in Lexington than Detroit or New York combined, the data I was referencing had incorrectly omitted Detroit from their rankings, so while Lexington does have a higher murder rate than a lot of bigger cities, Detroit is not one of them. Sorry about that and thanks to the Reddit user who pointed this out.
