Henry Clay locked down over potential gun on campus; parents can now pick up students

Lexington, KY–According to a media report and an email from FCPS, Henry Clay High School was locked down Thursday morning over a potential weapon on campus. There have been no confirmed reports of injuries or shots fired at the school. This story will be updated periodically as new information comes in.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are responding to the Henry Clay High School in Lexington, Kentucky following a report of a weapon on campus on Thursday morning October 27, 2022. According to reports, the Henry Clay High School campus located at 2100 Fontaine Rd, Lexington, KY, has been placed on immediate lockdown as officers respond to the school for active investigation.

At the time of this report, there are no confirmations of any possible injuries. The school campus on lockdown means no one is allowed in or out of the school at this time. Everyone is urged to avoid the area. More details will be updated shortly.
