Lexington, KY–Joe Hand Promotions, the promoter with exclusive rights to UFC pay-per-view broadcasts, filed suit in federal court today alleging a Georgetown billiards club publicly broadcast their fights without paying a licensing fee. The lawsuit alleges Kaizen Billiards showed bootleg streams of the following UFC fights, to which Joe Hand Promotions had exclusive rights:
- Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Logan Paul on June 6, 2021,
- Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley on August 29, 2021,
- Ultimate Fighting Championship® 266: Volkanovski vs. Ortega on September 25, 2021,
- Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder III on October 9, 2021,
Kaizen Billiards is located at 401 Outlet Center Drive in Georgetown, KY. Its owner, Christoper E. Curtis, is also named in the lawsuit. The lawsuit seeks damages up to $110,000 for each broadcast, plus attorney’s fees.
