Lexington, Ky.–Attorneys representing the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government have moved to dismiss a civil rights lawsuit brought by five black UK Football players. The lawsuit alleges the players were framed for felony 1st-degree burglary by a white Lexington Police Department Detective, Cory B. Vinlove, after being called racial slurs and physically assaulted by Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity members at an off campus party in 2021. They are claiming qualified immunity for all involved officers.
