Bevin signals 2023 run for governor, then reverses

UPDATE: Bevin gave a long speech, then walked out of the Capitol. Looks like he’s not running.

Frankfort, Ky.–Former Kentucky governor Matt Bevin appears to be hopping into the 2023 race for his old job. Bevin tweeted a cryptic message this morning, his first tweet in months, and followed up with another message that said he would speak in the capitol rotunda at 2:45 p.m.

Today is the last day to file for the office. Bevin will join an already crowded Republican primary that includes Attorney General Daniel Cameron, among others.
