Lexington Police Search for Suspects in Vehicle Break-In and Armed Robbery Incidents
The Lexington Police Department is asking for the public’s help investigating two separate incidents that took place in late January.
In the first incident, Bluegrass Crime Stoppers is asking for more information about two individuals involved in a vehicle break-in that occurred on January 22nd. The suspects, who are still at large, fled the scene in a gold or silver 2010-2015 Hyundai Elantra after driving towards an officer and allegedly putting them in substantial risk of physical injury or death. The officer fired their weapon during the incident and was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
In the second incident, the Lexington Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect from an armed robbery of a postal worker that took place on January 30th. The suspect appeared behind the mail carrier brandishing a firearm and demanded their keys. The mail carrier complied, and the suspect fled the scene with the mail carrier’s bag. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous and anyone with information is asked to call the Lexington Police or submit anonymous tips to Bluegrass Crime Stoppers.
