An Army soldier has pleaded guilty to selling sensitive U.S. military information.
Sergeant Korbein Schultz… who was also an intelligence analyst… was arrested in March at Fort Campbell following accusations that he was selling U.S. military information to foreign parties. He had previously pleaded not guilty but changed his plea to guilty during a hearing in late July.
Federal court proceedings on the case began on Tuesday in Nashville. Prosecutors say that Schultz received a total of 14 payments for the documents he sold… totaling around 42 thousand dollars. Topics contained in the documents ranged from information on American artillery systems to studies of Chinese military tactics.
Schultz pleaded guilty to all charges against him. He will be officially sentenced on January 23, 2025.
