Woodford County voters see short lines at Falling Springs Center
Republished from WEKU.
Woodford County voters had four voting centers to choose from on election day. At the Falling Springs Center, mid-morning lines were short, though Woodford traditionally has one of the highest turnout rates in the state. We asked Jan Garkovich what she was thinking of as she cast her ballot.
“Women’s rights, school, the country, democracy, freedom. Laughs.”
We also spoke with Greg Finley after he voted to ask which issues mattered to him.
“Economy. Absolutely. Look to improve our economy, because it’s the last four years has just been awful. And also talking about the school, Amendment Two. I voted for Amendment Two because I believe we should have school choice.”
Woodford Countians also cast ballots at Northside Elementary School in Midway and the Millville and Nonesuch fire houses. Voters in the county seat of Versailles had seven city council candidates to choose from, including a former councilmember and mayor – with six seats to fill.
