Richmond is home to Kentucky’s newest build-ready industrial site

This week officials cut the ribbon on Kentucky’s newest industrial build ready site. The development project is located in Madison County is expected to help bring many new jobs to the Richmond area.
During a press conference, Governor Beshear said it takes a lot of collaboration to make efforts like this come together.
“They’re going to have two very large building pads, that are going to lead to new industries and jobs in their community and for their families. Projects like this are not possible without teamwork and the support of local and state officials.”
Governor Beshear thanked officials for collaborating on the project. “Thanks for working together to build a better Madison County and this project is going to help locate some businesses to their New Kentucky Home in Madison County and the Richmond area.”
Kentucky currently has 26 available Build-Ready sites. Multiple other locations across the state are currently working toward certification.
The newest site, located in the Richmond Industrial Park South III on Bill Robertson Way. The site consists of nearly 47 acres owned by the Richmond Industrial Development Corporation.
