Kentucky Civil Rights Hall of Fame inducts five new members

The Kentucky Civil Rights Hall of Fame inducted five new members during a ceremony earlier this month.
The Hall of Fame is inducted by the state Commission on Human Rights, which was created in 1960 and enforces the Kentucky Civil Rights Act.
This year’s inductees include William L. Davis of Lexington, Helen Danser of Berea, Amber Duke of Louisville, Louis Porter McHenry of Hopkinsville and Virginia Moore of Willisburg.
A release from the Commission says those inducted have given their time, money and service toward efforts that challenged and changed unjust philosophies and systems.
This year’s inductees were announced at a ceremony at the James E. Bruce Convention Center in Hopkinsville.
