Storm drain repair
LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 22, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled work for Main Street/US 25 in downtown Lexington. Repair operations for a storm drain are necessary.
Tuesday, July 22 through Friday, July 25 – 6 p.m. until 12 a.m. (midnight) each evening
Main Street/US 25
- work will be in effect at milepoint 14.018
- motorists will not be able to make a left turn to South Upper Street
- continuing from North Upper Street to South Upper Street will not be possible
- the left turn lane and left straight thru lanes will be closed
Alternate Route
- motorists will need to take Main Street/US 25 to Triangle Park and drive to Vine Street to access South Upper Street
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
