Ciara Coleman has been named Opportunity Officer in the Office of Mayor Linda Gorton.
“Ciara brings 10 years of experience at Toyota, where she developed a strong foundation in operational excellence and leadership,” Gorton said. “In the Mayor’s Office, she will focus on increasing opportunities and access to resources to remove barriers to prosperity for all residents.”
Coleman will focus on programs that support poverty reduction, economic empowerment, and community development, for example, expungement, food accessibility, and health.
Coleman has already organized her first Expungement Clinic, a popular program that offers a second chance at life by helping residents expunge their criminal records from low level, non-violent offenses that can be barriers to voting, employment, education and housing.
