It’s hard to believe with all the snow outside, but Water Week is right around the corner! Water Week is a collaborative effort among water quality professionals and volunteers to help residents connect with their backyard streams and local waterways. Lexington’s seventh annual Water Week will take place March 20 – 29, and we’re looking for event hosts.
Water Week events can be in-person, self-guided or virtual, anytime during Water Week. Any free event that connects community members with local creeks and water quality issues can be part of Water Week.
Past events have included litter cleanups, tree plantings, tours of water quality projects, creek walks, trivia nights, lectures and workshops about green infrastructure. Both returning and new hosts are encouraged to submit events for Water Week.
