UPDATE: February 19, 2026: One person has been arrested in connection with the homicide death of Jonathan Hunt, 17.
On Thursday, February 5, 2026, around 4:05 pm, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Versailles Road for a shooting with a victim. When officers arrived, they located a male victim who had been shot in a parking lot. Officers and Emergency Care personnel rendered aid, but the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The victim was identified by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office as Jonathan Hunt, age 17.
On Thursday, February 19, 2026, Amontae Flynn, 18, was arrested and charged with Murder and Robbery 1st Degree. He is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
