Traffic Advisory: Roadway Maintenance Continues Following Winter Weather

Motorists are advised to slow down and remain alert when traveling through work areas while crews patch potholes, clear snow

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 9, 2026) Motorists are advised to watch for slow-moving vehicles and possible lane closures as Kentucky Transportation Cabinet crews continue roadway maintenance following recent winter weather.

This week crews are addressing potholes caused by recent winter weather to restore smoother travel conditions. As temperatures rise, motorists should also watch for ponding of water on roadways due to melting snow.

Drivers are urged to slow down, remain alert, and use caution when traveling through work areas. Drivers are also reminded to give crews plenty of room to work safely.

Crews will also continue snow clearing efforts along turn lanes and shoulders as conditions allow.
