A juvenile has been charged in connection with a shooting that occurred earlier this week on Maywick Drive
On February 18, 2026, around 5:40 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Maywick Drive for a shooting. When they arrived, they located a 15-year-old juvenile victim who had been shot. The victim was transported to a local hospital with reported serious injuries. During the investigation, shell casings were located in the area of Appomattox Road and Maywick Drive.
A 16-year-old juvenile was taken into custody on February 19, 2026, and charged with Assault 1st Degree for the shooting. They are currently being held at a Juvenile Detention Center.
