One person has been arrested following a robbery that occurred last night on Old Frankfort Pike.
On April 2, 2026, around 10:55 pm, officers were dispatched to the area of Old Frankfort Pike and Alexandria Drive to assist an individual. When officers arrived, they learned that while the victim and suspect were in a vehicle traveling on Old Frankfort Pike, the suspect pulled the vehicle over and robbed the victim at gunpoint. The suspect then physically assaulted the victim before fleeing the scene. The victim sustained reported minor injuries.
Utilizing the department’s Real-Time Intelligence Center, officers were able to locate the suspect’s vehicle a short time later.
Quantez Canada, age 30, was arrested and charged with two counts of Assault 2nd Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Robbery 1st Degree, Terroristic Threatening 3rd Degree, Intimidating a Participant in the Legal Process, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun, No/Expired Registration Plates, and Buy/Possess Drug Paraphernalia. he is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
