LEXINGTON, Ky. — Bluegrass Community and Technical College has earned three honors in the 2026 Best of Lexington contest, including two Gold awards that recognize the college’s career-focused education and equine programming, according to an announcement from BCTC.
The annual Best of Lexington contest featured more than 3,900 businesses, organizations and individuals competing across 243 categories this year, generating over 356,000 votes. The competitive recognition program celebrates the businesses, people and places that define the Bluegrass region.
BCTC operates as a public institution with campuses throughout the region, serving more than 12,000 students annually. The college is known for programs spanning career and technical fields, and houses the North American Racing Academy at the Thoroughbred Training Center, which offers thoroughbred riding and training instruction.
The college’s equine and career-focused education programs have made it a regional leader in workforce development. BCTC’s recognition in the 2026 Best of Lexington awards underscores the community’s appreciation for these educational offerings and their role in supporting the region’s economic vitality.
