Now celebrating its second year, the Lexington Mobile Market continues to deliver fresh produce and grocery staples to residents across Fayette County, helping to close the food access gap.

“The Lexington Mobile Market continues to be successful in providing healthy food options to areas across our city,” Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton said. “So far in 2025, over $129,000 in sales have been made through 7,319 transactions. This is a substantial increase over 2024 usage, showing the ongoing need for this program.”

The Mobile Market is a 60-foot trailer that serves as a rolling, one-stop grocery store, bringing nutritious food directly to neighborhoods without nearby access to full-service grocery stores. The initiative is made possible through a partnership among The Kroger Co., God’s Pantry Food Bank, and the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government.

Operating Monday through Friday, so far in 2025, the Mobile Market has made rotating stops through 24 different locations throughout Lexington, making 586 stops. The number of stops is an increase from 412 stops in 2024, reflecting growing demand and expanded service.
