Tis the season for holiday parties, decorating and gifts, but that doesn’t have to mean more waste ending up in the landfill. Lexington invites you to celebrate Waste Reduction Week from Nov. 8-16. Join us for events, tips and even tours about prioritizing the “reduce” in reduce, reuse and recycle.
Lexington and its community partners are hosting waste reduction workshops, along with Recycle Center tours, throughout the week. You can explore ways to reduce food waste, mend clothes and even make art from trash. Recycle Center tours are open to participants ages 13 and older who want to get a behind-the-scenes look at how our recyclables are sorted and bailed before they’re sent off to be processed into new products.
