A quick winter system will be moving in for tomorrow morning
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 7, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises that crews will report at midnight this evening. Contractors will report for work a few hours later. A quick system is forecasted to move in during the Monday morning commute.
Personnel will treat and patrol routes for counties within the district as necessary. Wet roads can present hazardous driving conditions.
Motorists should remember that as temperatures drop there is the possibility of black ice. Black ice can form on previously treated asphalt and concrete. Ice develops on bridges, overpasses, and ramps prior to surface level roadways.
