The Mayor’s Task Force on Homelessness, which held its first meeting on Nov. 12, 2025, has announced its upcoming subcommittee meeting schedule.
The Task Force is focused on identifying strategies, resources, and solutions to better serve Lexington’s homeless population.
“I am thankful to the many volunteers who have committed their time and expertise to help our city find ways to reduce the number of people experiencing homelessness,” Mayor Linda Gorton said. “Following the 2025 Emergency Homeless Shelter Study, we know there is work we can do to address the needs of those in our community without shelter. I am confident that the Task Force, with public input, will provide tangible recommendations to help those most in need.”
