The Lexington Police Department has made an arrest in the 2022 death investigation of 18-month-old Cho’zyn Wilson.
On Wednesday, August 17, 2022, Lexington Police Officers responded to a call about an unresponsive 18-month-old. The child was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The Fayette County Coroner’s Office identified the child as Cho’zyn Wilson, age 18 months. An autopsy was performed and determined his cause of death to be from an accidental overdose. During the investigation, Cho’zyn’s death was ruled a homicide.
Detectives with the department’s Crimes Against Children Unit continued to investigate, following up on evidence and information over the last several years.
