The community session includes clinicians and researchers from Boston University and the University of Kentucky Sanders-Brown Center on Aging who will come together to share current findings, trends and updates on dementia, particularly as they relate to Alzheimer’s disease and healthy brain aging.

The community session, which follows a day-long scientific session held the day before, will be held at Marriott Griffin Gate in Lexington. It will take place from 8:30 a.m. to noon E.T. on Saturday, Nov. 7. There is also an option to attend via Zoom. Click here to register.  If you need assistance with registration, call 859-323-5550.

This year’s keynote speaker is Rhoda Au, professor of Anatomy and Neurobiology, Neurology, Medicine and Epidemiology at Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine and School of Public Health. Au’s session is titled,  “Precision AD: Where We Are and Where We Could Be.”

UK’s Sanders-Brown Center on Aging researchers will also be featured,  including Dr. Peter Nelson, Dr. Gregory Jicha, and Sarah Hatch, clinical social worker.

The symposium, hosted by the UK’s Sanders-Brown Center on Aging, is named in honor and memory of the late Dr. William R. Markesbery, the founding director of Sanders-Brown.
