Miles of trails in the Daniel Boone National were closed Wednesday as the search for the alleged I-75 mass shooter continues.
At the request of Kentucky State Police, the U.S. Forest Service closed all or parts of six sections of the Sheltowee Trace Trail between U.S. 421 and KY 192 until further notice. The move came as the search for Joseph A. Couch entered its fifth day. Couch allegedly shot a dozen cars and wounded five people Saturday from a ledge overlooking I-75. His car and the weapon investigators say he used were found shortly afterwards, but not Couch.
