On Thursday, Aug. 21, Volunteers of America Mid-States (VOA), Lexington Parks and Recreation, and the Lexington Commission on Veterans’ Affairs hosted a ribbon-cutting for Veterans’ Unity Point.

Located in Kenwick Community Center, Veterans’ Unity Point provides a supportive and welcoming setting for veterans in Lexington, connecting those in need to resources and services.

VOA partnered with the Lexington Commission on Veterans Affairs and Lexington Parks and Recreation to bring this project to life.

“This moment is the result of many community partners, service providers, and veteran advocates coming together. The Veterans’ Unity Point will stand as a place of camaraderie and belonging for our veterans,” said Liz Sheehan, Councilmember for 5th District and Lexington Commission Member.
