Tuesday night shooting under investigation

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – The Lexington Police Department is investigating a shooting Tuesday night.
Lexington police said they responded to a Lexington hospital to a call from that a victim of the shooting drove themselves to the hospital.
Police said the victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.
At least five police cars were sent to canvas a scene outside an apartment complex at 2223 Davenport Drive as the search for possible suspects continues.
Lexington Times note: the location of the scene canvassed by LPD indicates the shooting occurred near The Lane, which is the future site of FCPS’s all girls’ STEM school on Dudley Webb’s former compound.

This is the 77th 1st degree assault with a firearm in Lexington so far in 2022, according to LPD. There were 135 total in 2021 and 82 by this time in 2021. (These provided numbers do not include homicides, only non-fatal shootings.)
