Times Radio Ep. 3 — Lexington Activist Jesus Gonzalez
Jesus Gonzalez of Lexington, Kentucky caught a couple cases in 2020 while exercising his right to free speech under the United States Constitution’s First Amendment (U.S. Const. amend I). Just hours after the chief of police allegedly performed a shoulder charge on an activist who was standing in his path, Jesus says the local cops donned riot gear and went to work on unarmed protestors who were peacefully lying on a public sidewalk. One of the victims of their alleged ensuing brutality was a seventeen year-old girl.
Jesus stayed silent while his cases went through the system, but now that they’re cleared, he has some strong words for city leaders, and many are taking notice.
