Board Of Health Selects Jabbour As Chair For 2024-25

The Lexington-Fayette County Board of Health named Majd Jabbour as chair for the 2024-25 fiscal year, which began July 1.

Jabbour currently serves as a practice manager at UK Healthcare and is also president of both fashion houses Crittenden Rawlings & Albert Couture. A native of Syria, he received both his Bachelor of Biology and Master of Health Administration from the University of Kentucky. Beyond his many roles, Majd contributes to healthcare improvement efforts and community economic development through active participation in community and state boards, underscoring his commitment to a healthier society and a stronger economy.

Jabbour joined the Board of Health in 2019 and has served as the chair of the Electronic Medical Records Committee and is a member of the Policy Committee and the Commissioner of Health Search Committee.

Jabbour replaces Dr. Rodney Jackson, who will continue to serve on the Board of Health.

Leah Mason will continue to serve as vice-chair for 2024-25. Other Board of Health members include: Kacy Allen-Bryant, Dr. Lee Dossett, Dr. Hartley Feld, Dr. Maria de Lourdes Gomez, Mayor Linda Gorton, Dr. Gregory Hood, Dr. Jackson, Dr. Christine Ko, Councilmember Jennifer Reynolds, Dr. Elizabeth Riley and Dr. Basel Touchan.
