In conjunction with the LPD’s “make the community feel safer” initiative, Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton has announced a new, cutting edge program with a big celebrity name heading it up, former Iraqi Minister of Information, Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf, adoringly known by his many fans as “Baghdad Bob.”
“Mr. Bob has extensive experience in an urban combat environment, and his communications résumé is quite impressive,” Gorton said in a statement. Gorton’s team had extra help screening Bob; FCPS’s crack squad of background investigators performed an extensive search on him and found no negative information about him on MySpace or Bing. [Saeed al-Sahhaf was not charged for his role in Saddamm Hussein’s government]
