Man who killed motorcyclist on New Circle had 11 grams of weed, 35 grams of meth, illegal gun
WKYT is reporting that the driver of a vehicle that killed a motorcyclist was high when the accident occurred.
Police say Mark Adkins smelled strongly of burnt marijuana. He was charged with DUI, possession of weed and meth, and they tacked on a charge for felon in possession of a handgun, as well.
Police say that the motorcyclist was driving in the emergency lane on New Circle to pass up traffic in the regular lanes. Adkins’ van was going in the opposite direction on New Circle and was trying to turn off the road when the two collided.
